- In response to the severe and exceptional infectious pneumonia epidemic (COVID-19), the Taipei City Government has announced that it will cooperate with the autumn and winter epidemic prevention project on December 1, 2020, and restarted the epidemic prevention measures. Whether they are retail market vendors, on-site related practitioners, or consumers, people who enter the market should wear masks. But suppose there is a dietary necessity in the market. In that case, people can temporarily remove their masks during consuming food while keeping social distancing from unidentified people or having appropriate barrier equipment.
- Those who do not wear masks and do not meet the requirements for the temporary removal of masks, after being reminded and advised but still refused to comply, may be denied entry into the public retail market. If they still insist on entering, according to paragraph 1, subparagraph 3 of Article 70 of the "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law," they will be fined for NT$3,000 to NT$15,000.
