It is exempt if the live poultry is slaughtered at home for family members or guests.
Under one of the following circumstances, it may be exempt from slaughter in the slaughterhouse:
- Those who slaughter chickens, ducks, and geese in their own homes for consumption by family members or guests.
- Retail and slaughter chickens, ducks, and geese in traditional markets (including retail markets, temporary concentrated areas for vendors in the mountainous aboriginal districts) are managed by the local municipal, county (city) government.
- For the slaughter of chickens, ducks, and geese on the islands, as mentioned in the Offshore Islands Development Act, the slaughter premises shall be centralized and managed by the local municipal or county (city) government and comply with cleanliness and hygiene regulations.
