If the tenant dies, can the original tenanted booth be inherited by his children? What documents must be prepared?

Yes, in principle, the booth can be inherited by the tenant's children.

According to the current "Regulations on the Administration of the Retail Market," if the user dies, his heirs shall ask one person to apply for change within six months from the user's death. However, by the current "Taipei City Public Retail Market Booth (Shop) Standard Rental Principles" regulations, persons with disabilities, aboriginals, and retired soldiers, are not allowed to apply for the name change.

Public retail market vendors should prepare the following materials when applying for the succession of booths (shops):

The dependents should submit the original tenant (deceased) information:
1. Death certificate, a copy of the household register or electronic household register transcript containing the death record of the deceased
2. Original booth lease (administrative) contract

Waiver of Succession:
1. Inherit system table
2. Waiver of Succession by the statutory heir
3. Photocopy of the front and back of the ID card

Heir:
1.Receipt of rent bill for the last three months
2. The original ID card and a photocopy of the front and back of the ID card
3. A copy of the household register or the transcript of the electronic household register applied for in the last three months (both are the current population with detailed notes)
4. Seal
5. Proof of settlement of utilities and management fees (certificate issued by the local government)

Guarantor:
1. Photocopy of the front and back of the ID card
2. Seal

Precautions:
1. The term of inheritance shall not exceed six months from the date of death of the original tenant
2. The heir applying for inheritance must be at least 20 years old in law and a person with capacity
3. The heir must be registered in Taipei City and must not rent booths in this market or other public markets in this city
