History and Characteristics | Youngle Market was established four years previous to formation of the Republic China, leaving this market over a century old. It was called "Youngle Communal Food Market." The old building was demolished in 1982. The market reopened three years later. Because the location is at the center of a very famous scenic spot, it always attracts a lot of people, especially during Chinese New Year. The cloth markets on the 2nd and 3rd floor of Yongle Market are the biggest retail and wholesale centers in the entire province. |
